What Happens After You Order Ready-Mix Concrete?

You place the order. A concrete mixer arrives at the jobsite.
But what happens in between?
Every ready-mix concrete delivery involves coordination between the customer, Becker & Scrivens' dispatch team, the batch plant and the driver delivering the concrete.
1. You Place Your Order
When you contact Becker & Scrivens, our team will gather the information needed to schedule your delivery.
That may include:
Jobsite location
Amount of concrete needed
Pour date and requested time
Type of project
Mix requirements provided by your contractor
Placement method
Jobsite or delivery conditions we should know about
Having this information available when you call can make the ordering process easier.
Before You Order Ready-Mix Concrete
2. Your Delivery Is Scheduled
Our dispatch team coordinates concrete orders and truck deliveries from our Hillsdale, Michigan and Montpelier, Ohio locations.
Concrete delivery requires careful scheduling because ready-mix concrete is produced for delivery to a specific project and time.
If something changes with your project, contact Becker & Scrivens as soon as possible.
3. Your Concrete Is Batched
At the plant, the materials required for your concrete order are measured and combined according to the specified concrete mixture.
The concrete is then loaded into a mixer truck for delivery to the jobsite.
4. The Concrete Is Delivered
Your Becker & Scrivens driver transports the concrete to the location provided with the order.
Before delivery day, make sure your contractor has prepared the site and that there is appropriate access for the concrete truck or other placement equipment being used.
5. Your Contractor Takes It From There
Becker & Scrivens supplies and delivers the ready-mix concrete.
Your concrete contractor is responsible for preparing the site, placing, finishing and caring for the concrete after delivery.
